About Us

Carolyn Ellis School of Dance was established in 1973, because Carolyn wanted to share her love of dance with others.

When Carolyn took almost 70 dancers and family members to Russia in 1989, the dance studio became an ambassador for the state of Georgia and the United States of America. Since that trip, her dancers have continued to perform throughout the United States and abroad, such as Mexico.

All That Glitters has performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in fabulous New York City, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios many times!

The legendary tapestry of this dance studio is woven into generations of dancers who have shared their experiences at this studio with their children. We hold many honors such as the Tifton Gazettes, readers choice for Best Dance studio in the greater Tifton and Tift Area, ADCC Studio Excellence Award,  Fox 31’s A list as a Southwest GA’s favorite dance studio, and one we take a lot of pride in, is our award “Life of the Party” for being the friendliest, most well mannered, most well rounded studio.

Owner & Instructor

The Ward Family, Kevin, Mallory, and Raylin

The Ward Family including Kevin, Mallory, and Raylin. Growing up inside the 4 pink walls that make what we all know as Carolyn Ellis School of Dance, I am honored to have taken on the role of Studio Owner. Dancing has always been a passion of mine starting at the young age of 2. Growing up with Miss C as my instructor/ 2nd mom was always a blessing to me. She taught me many things about dance as well as many life lessons. From my first major recital role as Baby Bop in the 1992-93 Barney Recital to my senior recital, Hook, Line & Sinker, I have always had a special bond with the stage. Changing roles immediately after graduating to a dance instructor was a dream come true. The dreams continue to come true with us having earned many choreography and judges’ choice awards. I love each and every one of my students and can only hope that I will inspire them the same as I was inspired at such an early age.

Ginny Stone Webb

Studio Manager

Our studio relies on many to support us through out our year, but the majority falls on the talents of Mrs. Ginny Stone Webb aka “Skipper” from her senior recital, Once Upon a Star in 1998. She handles the major responsibilities of office duties to calming the soul of a dancer in need. We are so thankful for Mrs. Ginny for keeping all of us together when we forget something and being the backbone of the studio.  She is homegrown and we are thrilled to call her our very own.

Carolyn Ellis

My life has always been about hellos not goodbyes. Because goodbyes seem so final and final is not where I’m at. Yes, facing the cancer demon in the past could have meant something really bad, but instead, God has loved me through it all along with the support of my wonderful family dance friends and a host of community prayer warriors. I am blessed. I have always treated our studio as a ministry and realize it has been a gift from our Lord and Savior that placed me in this town in the summer of ’73. The results of so many wonderful young dancers that have been changed by our 4 dance walls, a truly amazing blessing. As I continue to heal from cancer, I know God is asking something different of me and I will obey. So I have passed the torch to my other studio daughter, Mallory Ward, who loves and breathes the life of our studio and ministry. She too has lived this beast this year and sees the value of our studio’s mission each year.  It is my pleasure to share this love with her. I know it will continue even to greater joys under her guidance and direction and I’m always here to help by being by her side.  It’s not over until the fat lady sings and I’m not singing because I’ll always be dancing.
